I have written before about the great blues harp teachers online, such as Adam Gussow, and Tomlin Leckie. There has been an explosion of online tutors recently so I thought an update is needed. I have included a number of tutors, as the style of teaching can be very personal -some like a lot of introductory talk, others just want to get on with it. Some tutors include tabs, others do not.
Some like to show how experienced they are, some are very humble. You need to review a number of them and then stick to a couple which you get on with as a learner.
First I would remind us of my two great teachers –
Adam Gussow
Tomlin Leckie
Tomlin provides a lot of support such as tabs and step by step lessons. I like Adam, but as a teacher Tomlin is the best (for me, that is).
The next five have been established tutors for some time:
Ronnie Shellist
Liam Ward
Will Wilde
Ben Hewlett
Jon Gindick
What is noticeable is that not only more women blues harp players are playing, but also teaching online, such as Annie Raines:
and Indiara Sfair
Anna Kristina
A new tutor on the block –Beck Wenger (can listen in any language…..)
If you know Bahasa Indonesian this one is for you:
Sarah Saputri
and other new tutors (some are very experienced players):
e.g. Howard Levy
Jason Ricci
harmonica.com
Lee Sankey
Mitch Grainger
Harmonica Man
Hakan Ehn
Matej TataMata
Jonah Fox
Marty Schwartz

and in Spanish -Bruno Berloto
And more in Spanish -IJM Armónica
A new tutor for me- George Goodman:
This list is not exhaustive -please help by adding your favourite online harmonica tutor.
